EXTRA ENGLISH (CHAPTERS FROM 1 TO 30)

EXTRA! is a language education television program that was scripted in the format of a Friends-sitcom. It was created for students between 14 and 18 but, nowadays, I am using it with my students (11 and 12) and they love it. The sitcom tells the story of four young people, Bridget, Annie, Hector and Nick. In these 30 chapters, we can find lots of things about their loves and interests. The script and the plot have been created with an easy english level.

Hector, with only a very basic grasp of the featured language, comes to stay with his pen pal, Bridget. Living with Bridget is roommate Annie. The neighbor Nick lives across the hallway. Hector's efforts to get to grips with the language provide the central dynamic for the series' language learning content. The series is particularly suitable for adolescents and young adults who can relate to the contextual setting and implied meanings in the screenplay.
